The world’s largest AI startup competition

Drawing contestants from 40 countries, the Genesis Startup Competition cemented its status as the stage for AI's next generation.

10 finalists competed in a shark-tank style format on 18-19 June, pitching solutions for generational problems in Embodied AI & Robotics, HealthTech & Biotech, Fintech, and Web3 & Decentralized Intelligence.

Nanyang Biologics, recently spun-off from Nanyang Technological University, took the grand prize for their graph neural network technology to accelerate drug discovery. The prize connected them with 500 Global, which has started the investment process.

With several finalists going on to secure investment, enterprise matchmaking (in partnership with Plug and Play), and cloud credits (from AWS), SuperAI Genesis continues to foster the global AI startup ecosystem.

Unveiling the world's most talented AI developers.

The inaugural SuperAI NEXT Hackathon selected 60 of the most talented AI and ML engineers to go from idea to working product in a high-pressure, high-energy 36-hour sprint.

Working in the heart of SuperAI, participants built prototypes across robotics, finance, healthcare, retail, and sustainability. Fueled by adrenaline, cans of Red Bull, and a $50,000 prize pool, teams pushed through two sleepless nights with mentor check-ins, technical workshops, and round-the-clock snacks and amenities.

With guidance from senior leaders at AWS, Shellkode, and SambaNova Systems, the four winning teams showcased their innovations live on Day 2, as 7,000 SuperAI attendees watched AI’s biggest stage.

"Winning the NEXT Hackathon changed the trajectory of my life. What began as just an idea is now taking me to San Francisco for the DraperU pre-accelerator program. This opportunity has opened doors I never thought possible."

Elroy Chua,
A NEXT Hackathon 2025 winner
